Feminine Beauty

A timeless, abstract face of a woman has an ethereal quality in this sculptural vase by Sara Lund. Porcelain clay is hand-built to form the vessel, and pit firing creates the mysterious, smoky finish which is highlighted with painted gold luster detail. The inside of the vase is glazed in black and can hold water, though dried arrangements are recommended for long-term use. Hand crafted in the USA.

Fabulously freaky bug pins rendered in polymer clay by Joyce Fritz Studio/Yipes!. A new crop just arrived, sporting millefiori and mosaic modeling techniques, recycled wire, glass beads and a variety of metallic leaf and surface treatments.

Jan also creates stunning clocks and delightful pocket vases, each a one-of-a-kind vision in stained and dichronic glass. Is it her Catskill Mountain studio or her background in Tibetan Buddhism, organic farming, pond design, Shiatsu therapy, and stress management that illuminates her work? Probably all of the above.

Many of our customers have come to depend upon the hand-made towel sets from My Three Cuties. These adorable creations are crafted locally by a stay-at-home mom, so you know she understands softness, absorbency, durability, and visual appeal! The tight confines of our store limit the amount of her products we can stock, so now is the time to stock up on the burp-cloths and complete gift sets you KNOW will be extremely appreciated by new parents.

 We are also pleased to present cotton totes (and sock monkey wine bottle covers!) from local company AS IF, or Aspergers Syndrome In the Family. Formed by twosisters, this group supports autism awareness through funding, website links, and donations to special events.

Try Cribbage on Family Game Night

Cribbage originated as a pub game in jolly old England and has survived centuries of competition from other games and diversions. It remains very popular in the American Navy, particularly among submariners.
Easy to learn, hard to master, and then there's always the element of pure luck needed to win. While it's technically possible to keep score on a pad of paper, a proper cribbage board tracks points earned as you leapfrog your way along the "streets" with your pegs or spilikins.
