Sculptural Whimsy from Forked Up Art
Silly but somehow earnest, this forky fellow brightens your day with a silk rose (included - or up the ante with a fresh stem). Later, he'd be happy to live on your desk, holding a pen in each hand while supporting a note or rubber bands through his tines. His pal, cell guy, works with most smart phones, providing a memorable place to recharge. Biz card guy can also hold a photo or important reminders to yourself. Handmade in the USA using stainless steel cutlery.
OPEN FOR BUSINESS
We're glad to be back. Stop by & we can swap war stories.
Fall/Winter fashion markdowns are now 40% off

CLOSED THURSDAY
While we are encouraged that Langley Shopping Center has power and a plowed parking lot, our employees don't have the same luck. Yesterday, it took one staff member an unbelievable 8 hours to get home to Reston!
By tomorrow we should be back to normal, and will confirm our ability to do so here on the Blog.
Stay safe!

DELAYED OPENING
The store is without power, so we will be closed for at least the first half of the day. We'll have to see what the afternoon holds.

CLOSED EARLY TODAY
When the ice pellets start coming down the size of peas, it's time to close. Getting our staff home safely is important to us, as is encouraging customers to remain safe and sound at home. We'll see what tonight brings, so stay tuned here for updates about hours tomorrow.

Doing a Happy Dance
When in the throes of the winter doldrums, this is just the sort of scene we yearn for. Blue skies, green grass, puffy white clouds...and the bobbing heads of spring blooms. These particular flowers do their little happy dance fueled by a miniature solar panel. Guaranteed to make you smile and to assure you that eventually spring will come. Available with blue or pink pot, each solar flower is boxed for easy gift giving or mailing for Valentine's Day.

Soup Season
Grab your favorite stock pot & soup ingredients, then savor the heft & utility of hand forged kitchen chopping tools. Crafted from steel, these blades engage you in an old-fashioned way that feels novel to our generation of home cooks. On the left is the herb chopper with a curved blade that rocks back and forth to mince fine greens ($30), while the heavier chopper on the right is shaped to chop vegetables with ease. The design puts the force of your hand directly over the blade for efficiency. The "S" is the maker's mark signifying the blacksmith, Al Stephens, from Athens, Alabama. The line also includes a bow-shaped wire cheese cutter, a multi-purpose rocking chopper, and a serious pizza cutter guaranteed to cut through any pie.

Wake Up Your Wine
Give your wine bottle a jazzy landing pad. The saturated colors in Double Creek Pottery's dishes create a party mood whether you're dining alone or entertaining a crowd. The painterly application of the glazes and the matte finish will remind you of chalk drawings, but this work is completely food safe and durable, though hand washing is recommended. Handcrafted in central Florida.
