New Purple Gift Boxes

Our fabulous new purple gift boxes are making their debut. The rich color & finish render wrapping paper redundant. With our fluffy curling ribbon clusters or tulle bows, the effect is lovely. Think of all the paper, tape, space & time being saved! We are very excited about conserving resources while being able to serve customers faster. For those occasions when you feel that more is required, we have a selection of gift wrap rolls & gift bags available for purchase that we can use on the spot.

Heavenly Silk

Citron is a small, unique clothing line that many women have come to love. The shapes are uncomplicated and the fit is flattering to most body types. This allows you to focus on the gorgeous fabrics that Citron is famous for. Owner & designer Ricki Wolman travels the world for inspiration from many cultures to develop the original textile designs. Originally from South Africa, Ricki established Citron in Santa Monica, CA in 1992.
This pattern is called Crane Kimono, hand painted on silk georgette blended with 5% Spandex. More than a blouse, not quite a jacket, it makes a beautiful layering piece for year-round enjoyment.

Fashion Buying Trip

Today we attended a new fashion market in Maryland - a close, low-key alternative to traveling to NYC. While the show was small, many of the lines were well suited to our customers. Old favorites include Citron Clothing, with their gorgeous Asian style silk prints; Shennel, who did some great coats for fall; Zen Knits, with their ultra-comfy and packable rayon knit separates; and Nomadic Traders, whose boiled wool jacket is pictured here in one of the two colorways we ordered.

Dorman: a stylish, modern easy-fit rain jacket in great colors like lime, plum and bark
Belamie: artsy pullover sweaters
Nabi: solid knit separates in basic black & warm brown colors in great shapes with wonderful prices - perfect to coordinate with our special tops, sweaters & jackets
